Question
My researcher was told by Statistics Canada that she could probably get the Canadian Survey on Economic Well-Being through DLI. I've found in through the RDCs, but can you please tell me whether the Canadian Survey on Economic Well-Being, is available through DLI?
Answer
The RDC files should be in place now. These files were placed in the RDCs last March. For the PUMF, the CSEW was a cost-recovery survey. The funding for the project did not include resources for the creation of a PUMF so there will not be a PUMF created for this survey.

Update on Postal Code(OM) Conversion File Plus Version 6A1
PCCF+ Version 6A1
Please note that an error has been identified in the 6-digit postal code weighting file (WC6DUPS) in PCCF+ Version 6A. This resulted in approximately 46,000 urban postal codes being inadvertently included in the WC6DUPS file (which is primarily used to assign population weights for rural and retired postal codes linked to two or more DAs). As a result, some of these urban postal codes may be assigned to an incorrect dissemination area. A new version of PCCF+ (version 6A1) has been created to rectify this error. The new version contains an updated WC6DUPS file where postal codes with a delivery mode type equal to A or B that were linked to 1, 2 or 3 DAs (according to the PCCFDUPS file) have been removed. The associated pointer file (WC6POINT) has also been updated. All other files and content remains unchanged.
Comparison PCCF+ version 6A and 6A1.
File Name 6A 6A1
WC6DUPS 202592 104728
WCPPOINT 69568 23865

Demographic information for Community College instructors
Question
I have a student looking for demographic information about community college instructors/faculty. Do you know where I can get this information specifically for colleges? I have contacted the Association of Community Colleges in Canada and I'm waiting for a reply. UCASS didn't have what I was looking for.
Answer
I have confirmed with the author division that unfortunately we do not have the data that you are looking for: "after investigation we are not able to do custom tabulation because we do not have college instructor information."

Public Sector Statistics (68-213-X)
Question
The publication status for Public Sector Statistics (68-213-X): <http://www5.statcan.gc.ca/olc-cel/olc.action?ObjId=68-213-X&ObjType=2&lang=en&limit=1> is listed as "ongoing/available" in HTML/PDF format, but the latest issue on the above page is 2008. Has it in fact been discontinued?
On a related note, how often are STC webpages for publications reviewed to ensure that their statuses are being accurately reported?
Answer
The Public Sector Statistics division answered: “The publication Public Sector Statistics (68-213-X) is still active/ongoing. There are no immediate plans to release a new version of this publication. However, an abbreviated document on the Public Sector Universe is being prepared to be released with the first release of Government Finance Statistics later this year.”
